Pippa Middleton And James Matthews’ Baby Boy’s Middle Name Reportedly Honors Members Of Their Family

So cute! According to a birth certificate obtained by Daily Mail, Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews, have named their new baby boy after members of their family. They have reportedly been calling their adorable little baby Arthur Michael William since his birth in mid-October.

The name Michael supposedly honors Pippa father and her late brother-in-law, who died at the age of 22. James’ brother Michael Matthews sadly passed away when he climbed Mount Everest in the late ’90s. Michael aimed to be the youngest Briton to climb the deadly mountain, but due to the severe weather, he, unfortunately, went missing and was never found.

It’s helpful for Pippa and Michael to know that with Michael’s unfortunate death, Pippa’s sister, Kate Middleton, is more than happy for Pippa to experience all of the joys of motherhood. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James,” a royal family spokesperson previously said in a statement.

Kate and Prince William have also been thrilled for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who announced that they were expecting their first child last month. The newlyweds still have yet to agree on a baby name for their unborn child, and like Pippa and James, they might keep it a secret until the baby is born. 

According to the Daily Express, fans are already making bets that Harry and Meghan might name their child after the late Princess Diana. “At this stage, Diana, Arthur, and Alice, which was favorited at different stages for Kate and William’s babies, are the 12/1 front-runners,”  the bookmakers revealed. “However, with months until the baby is born, those odds will shorten, change, and other names will come to the forefront, so watch this space.”

Meghan already told a fan during her royal tour with Harry that they are still thinking about baby monikers. She said, “We’ve been given a long list of names from everyone. We’re going to sit down and have a look at them.” So exciting!
