She’s so happy for her sister! Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is “thrilled” that her younger sibling Pippa Middleton welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband James Matthews on Monday, Oct. 15, Kensington Palace has revealed.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James,” a royal family spokesperson said in an official statement on behalf of Kate, 36, and Prince William, also 36.

The Daily Mail‘s royals correspondent, Rebecca English, was allegedly the first to report Pippa’s baby news by tweeting, “[Prince] George, [Princess] Charlotte, and [Prince] Louis have a new cousin! James and Pippa Matthews (Middleton) have had a baby boy. He was born Monday, Oct. 15 at 1:58 p.m., weighing 8 lbs and 9 oz. Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well,” English wrote on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 16.

Kate and William just welcomed their third baby, Prince Louis, nearly six months ago on April 23, so we’re sure the Duchess and Pippa, 35, are thrilled to have sons so close in age. And, the arrival of Pippa’s little bundle of joy isn’t the only royal baby news the world has gotten this week — Meghan Markle is expecting, too!

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” a message released by Kensington Palace read.

Following the reveal of Prince Harry and Meghan’s happy news, Kate and William said they are “delighted” about the Duchess of Sussex’s first pregnancy. We love to see the royal family growing with so many cute new babies!
