Wow! Paula Abdul just gave the performance of a lifetime on the 30th anniversary of her record-breaking album at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The former American Idol judge closed out the annual awards show on Wednesday, May 1, with an incredible, gut-wrenching six-minute medley.
The 56-year-old stepped out looking better than ever on stage as she belted out her most notable hits like “Straight Up,” “Opposites Attract” and “Cold Hearted” — among others. The Grammy winner donned a stunning sequin leotard as audience members sang and danced along.
The singer’s fans couldn’t wait to watch and were happier than ever when the iconic entertainer took the stage Wednesday night. “Friendly reminder that Paula Abdul is 56 years old and my knees creak when I stand up,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Wow!!! @PaulaAbdul just took a leap of faith!!! That was crazy
Earlier in the night, Paula — who announced the devastating and untimely death of her father, Harry Abdul, last month — sizzled in silver as she wore a sexy white mini-dress on the BBMAs red carpet. It goes without saying, but we have to say Paula looked better than ever while posing and smiling for pics.
The X-Factor judge’s display at the music awards comes mere hours after she announced her Las Vegas residency, Forever Your Girl, at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino!
“I am excited to finally share that my new Las Vegas residency, Forever Your Girl will begin at @flamingovegas this August!” the songstress gushed in an Instagram post. “I can’t wait to share my music with you at the heart of the Vegas Strip.” The new residency will begin on August 13 and feature 20 dates on the first leg, which runs through January 4, 2020.
We love you, Paula!
