Meghan Markle’s Friends ‘Worry’ About the ‘Emotional Trauma’ She’s Experiencing While Pregnant
A group of Meghan Markle‘s closest friends has spoken out in a candid new interview about the person they know very well and even revealed how truly worried they are about how the Duchess of Sussex is emotionally dealing with the public’s scrutiny while pregnant.
The five women, who decided to remain anonymous to protect their friendships, recently spoke to People about Meghan, 37, in an effort to, according to a former costar, “stand up against the global bullying we are seeing and speak the truth about our friend.” She continued, “Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths.” And with the Suits alum about to give birth in the spring, her pals “worry about what this is doing to her and the baby.” The costar added, “It’s wrong to put anyone under this level of emotional trauma, let alone when they’re pregnant.”
And even though Prince Harry‘s wife has received scrutiny left and right since she joined the royal family last year, her friends said that that hasn’t impacted the way she treats others as she continues to be “selfless,” and the “best listener.” Meghan’s former colleague revealed, “If I’m thrown some kind of curveball, I always think, ‘I gotta talk to Meg.’ We talk daily. And the first thing out of her mouth is, ‘How are the kids? How are you?’ I’m not even allowed to ask about her until she finds out about me.”
Just last month we learned that the former actress is reportedly leaning on her friends for support in dealing with the harsh criticism that she’s faced. “Meghan just didn’t realize the scrutiny would feel as intense as it does, and over the last few weeks a reputation is building that she can be difficult,” a source told Closer UK. They continued, “While Harry‘s been a great support, she’s also been relying on her girlfriends — speaking and messaging with them daily and crediting them with helping her get through the past few months.”
Megan has apparently also been getting advice from her celebrity pals. “Amal [Clooney], Priyanka [Chopra] and Serena [Williams] know what it’s like to face false stories and public scrutiny, so it’s comforting for Meghan that they understand,” the insider explained.
Sounds like the Duchess at least has a good support system, so that is great news!
