Meghan Markle Had the Cutest Code Name for Prince Harry With Her ‘Suits’ Co-Stars!
Any secret romance has to have code names! So, of course, Meghan Markle and her Suits co-stars had the cutest code name for Prince Harry back when they hadn’t yet confirmed their relationship.
“She met this nice guy and we always talked about him in code really,” Wendell Pierce, the actor who plays Meghan’s on-screen father, revealed on the Tuesday, Feb. 6 during an episode of Harry Connick Jr.’s talk show Harry. “You know, ‘How you doing?’ ‘Oh, I’m going to London, coming from London, whatever.’” So cute!
“I had a really wonderful moment as we were coming to an end of her time on the show,” Wendell continued. “It was just she and I in the room and I said, ‘I know your life is going to change but always know, no matter where you are, I will always be your loving fake father.’” Aww, how sweet!
The soon-to-be royal announced that she’d be departing the USA show at the end of season 7. “I think what’s been so exciting [transitioning] out of my career and into, as you said, the causes I can focus even more energy on, very early out of the gate, [is that you] have a voice that people listen to, a lot of responsibility,” Meghan said during her first official interview on Monday, Nov. 27. “There’s a lot to do,” Harry added. “I don’t see it as giving up anything. I see it is a new change, a new chapter,” Meghan continued. “I’ve been working on my show seven years, we were so fortunate to have that longevity, and I feel like I checked that box and am very proud of the work I’ve done there.”
Meghan and Harry are set to walk down the aisle on Saturday, May 19, 2018, officially making Meghan royalty! The two have been busy with the wedding planning, and there has been much speculation over the details of the big day. Luckily for all of us, the highly-anticipated event will be televised, so we can all tune in! “The couple of course want the day to be a special, celebratory moment for their friends and family. They also want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too and are currently working through ideas for how this might be achieved. This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters of the bride and groom,” a palace spokesperson confirmed. So even though Meghan’s leaving Suits, we’ll still be able to catch her on the small screen!
