Sorry, royal fans, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are keeping the gender of their first baby totally under wraps! During the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first public outing of 2019 on Monday, Jan. 14, pregnant Meghan, 37, had the cutest answer for a 9-year-old little girl who asked the royal if she’s having a baby boy or a baby girl.
“Meghan came up to me and asked me how old I was and where I went to school. I could see her bump and I asked if she was having a boy or a girl and she said, ‘We don’t know whether it’s a boy or girl, we are keeping it as a surprise,'” St Anne’s Primary School student Kitty Dudley told People at the Birkenhead, England event.
While speaking to another young royal fan, Megan Redford, 7, the mom-to-be also commented on a potential baby name for her first child with Harry, 34. “She asked me if I was called Meg or Meghan because she said her friends call her Meg and mine do as well,” Redford told People of their cute conversation. “I asked her whether she would call her baby Amy if she has a girl and she said, ‘That’s a really pretty name, I like it, we’ll have to think about it.'”
During the event, Meghan also publicly revealed her due date is much sooner than we originally thought! While chatting with a mom during her visit, the Duchess said she’s currently six months along in her pregnancy and confessed she’s due to give birth in late April. We can’t wait to meet Meghan and Harry’s first baby in just a few months!
