For months now there has been speculation that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton don’t exactly get along, but there were no signs of a rift at Trooping the Colour, as the royal women shared a carriage ride.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, who was making her first public appearance since giving birth to baby Archie, hitched a ride with Prince William‘s wife, 37, and both waved together at the crowd as they made their way along the parade route. Also joining the notable women were Prince Harry and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. What a team!

This appearance from the mother-of-three comes just a few days after she was seen at Beating Retreat in the lead up to the celebration on Saturday, June 8.

This carriage ride was a lot different from the one at Trooping the Colour 2018, as Meghan and Harry rode in their own horse-drawn carriage. How things change!

Soon after Meghan gave birth to her first child, the Duchess of Cambridge sent her a lovely message. “It’s really exciting for both of them,” Kate told a Daily Express reporter alongside William following the launch of The King’s Cup Regatta. “These next few weeks, it’s always very daunting first time around so wish them all the best.”

Now that they are both mothers, it seems like the royal women are interacting more. “Meghan and Kate will be spending a lot more time together,” a palace insider told Us Weekly. “Now that they’re bonding over motherhood, they’ve become closer than ever.”

While baby Archie was not at the big celebration, Kate’s youngest child, Prince Louis, made his balcony debut.

Little “Lou Lou” spent his time waving while in his mom’s arms. Meghan and Harry also joined the royal members on the balcony.
