It wasn’t too long ago when Kate Middleton and Prince William were in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s shoes after they welcomed their first child, 5-year-old Prince George, in 2013. The royal couple, who stepped out for an outing in London on Tuesday, May 7, couldn’t help but gush — and give fair warning — about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex becoming parents for the first time.
“It’s really exciting for both of them,” Kate, 37, told a Daily Express reporter alongside William, 36, following the launch of The King’s Cup Regatta — a new sailing race that will benefit eight of their royal patronages. “These next few weeks, it’s always very daunting first time around so wish them all the best.”
The stunning Duchess of Cambridge smiled ear to ear as she gushed about Meghan and Harry’s baby boy — who was born on Monday, May 6 — having a birthday so close to two of her kids. “It’s such a special time — with [Prince] Louis and [Princess] Charlotte just having had their birthdays. It’s such a great time of the year to have a baby. Spring’s in the air, so it’s really great,” she said. “As William said, we look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name’s going to be.”
Even William had nothing but good things to say about his brother, Harry, becoming a dad. “It is parenting, so it’ll be fun to see that,” he told reporters. “I wish him all the best. I hope in the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a new boy in the family and all the, sort of, joys that come with that.” So sweet!
