Everyone seemed to turn their backs on Donald Trump after he made controversial comments about Mexican immigrants while announcing his candidacy at the White House, but luckily he can still count on one supporter, Lisa Lampanelli.
The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant, 53, who recently showed off her 100-pound weight loss, is admittedly heartbroken to learn that the 69-year-old has been dropped from the television show as well as the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
“I’m so sad,” she told Page Six. “I know he says outrageous things, and he’s half out of his mind, but that’s my Donald.”
On June 16, the billionaire referred to Mexican immigrants as “rapists” and criminals, which was not well-received by the general public.
“I love the people of Mexico, but my loyalty is to the United States,” he later said in his defense. “[But] running for president is far more important to me, frankly, than running the Miss Universe pageant.”
