In the new issue of Closer Weekly, on newsstands now, Kathie Lee Gifford opens up about moving on after her beloved husband, Frank Gifford's death — and says she has been trying hard to stay positive, citing her faith for getting her through this difficult time.
“I’m not [just] coping, I’m thriving,” she tells Closer in the new issue. “We are trying to adjust to the new normal, and that will take a while,” Kathie Lee says, adding that she misses “everything” about Frank. “I keep expecting him to come in the door.”

After 30 years of marriage and life as a busy working mom-of-two, the bubbly TV icon finds herself living alone for the first time. Kathie Lee’s life must go on — even though she misses Frank deeply and can’t even begin to think of dating yet. "I can’t even go there,” she confides to Closer.
In the meantime, she’s coping as best she can and getting ready to face the first anniversary of Frank’s death. She tells Closer that she won’t do anything special on that sad day, but she turned down her network’s request to send her to the Olympics at that time because “I want quiet time with my children.”
