Kate Middleton Reportedly Feels Snubbed By The Queen’s Decision To Invite Meghan Markle’s Mom To Christmas
Sounds like there may be a little bit of trouble brewing in the royal family.
Sure, Meghan Markle has received the spotlight this year, but let’s not forget that that same spotlight was on Kate Middleton a few years back. You know, when she became the Duchess of Cambridge after marrying Prince William. Remember that? Well, apparently Queen Elizabeth isn’t that impressed anymore because, according to a new report, she’d rather hang out with Meghan.
A palace insider recently revealed to Life & Style that Kate was super upset that the Queen invited Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, to celebrate Christmas at Sandringham House. And that’s because Kate’s folks have never been invited. Ever. “Kate’s parents have never been asked to spend the holidays with the Queen,” the palace insider said. “Instead, she and William have been forced to split their time between the Middletons and the royals, shuffling their children from household to household.”
Well, that’s… awkward.
But all that this situation has done is reportedly make Kate feel completely snubbed. The insider reveals, “Kate accused the Queen of giving Meghan special treatment and sees this as a huge snub to her side of the family. She understands that most of Meghan’s family is estranged from her and that this was a kind gesture, but it still hasn’t stopped her from thinking that Prince Harry’s wife has got it easy!”
But it’s not all bad, we swear. Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, actually got to join the Queen at church for Christmas morning service. So that’s something, right? Right? Hey, better than nothing. No word yet on how this reported tension will shake out but let’s hope everyone can come together for the holiday season. And let’s also hope that the Queen’s gift to Meghan won’t be better than what she gives to Kate. Because then that will open up another box of drama in the royal family.
