There’s no way she had a baby seven months ago! Since Kate Middleton ended her maternity leave in early October, we’ve been lucky enough to see more and more of her. And on Wednesday, Nov. 14, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for a royal appearance alongside her husband, Prince William — and looked beautiful in blue!
The best part of the 36-year-old’s chic and sophisticated look? It was recycled! Kate wore her blue Eponine London dress for the day out in Rotherham, England. She previously sported the bright frock adorned with buttons and a belt in January 2017 in London. She paired the look with blue heels, a black clutch, and her wavy brunette tresses.
William, 36, matched his wife well by wearing a navy blue suit with a light blue shirt. The duo sported their ensembles to visit McLaren Automotive’s Composites Technology Centre (they’re set to officially open it later today) and Centrepoint hostel in Barnsley, where they will meet those supported by the charity.
Kate is known for recycling her outfits on multiple occasions, and the Daily Mail previously suggested that the Duchess may not actually rewear the same pieces but instead might own multiple versions of the same gown, blouse, skirt, or pants to ensure she can don her favorite ensembles time and time again without the clothes getting worn out.
“Kate has a strong signature style and knows what she likes. It wouldn’t surprise me if she also gets a few of the same outfit made and has them ready to go, even if it is the same style,” Stylist Rochelle White told the entertainment news outlet last year. “I think when Kate finds an outfit that looks good, feels good, and is comfortable, she would like to have it to wear again without the worry of trying to get it clean and looking like new. It might be easier for her to have her favorites in duplicates so that they are always looking fresh.” She always looks fresh and fabulous in our opinion!
