Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth Step Out for Their First Solo Outing Together — See the Pics!

The royals have arrived! On Tuesday, March 19, Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth went on their very first solo outing together at the King’s College’s Strand campus in London. For the special event, Kate, 37, sported a cute coat dress by Catherine Walker and Queen Elizabeth, 92, arrived in a Stewart Parvin pink cashmere coat with one of her favorite handbags.

Although it took Kate eight years after she married Prince William to go on her first solo outing with Queen Elizabeth, her sister-in-law Meghan Markle got to go on a solo trip with the queen shortly after her royal wedding in May 2018.

Meghan and the queen attended the Mersey Gateway Bridge opening ceremony in Cheshire and shared some laughs when they saw a children’s dance performance during the event. Although Queen Elizabeth probably treats Meghan and Kate the same, a source previously told Life & Style Weekly that Kate has been feeling a little bit jealous by all of the “special treatment” that Meg has been receiving from Her Majesty.

Apparently, Prince William’s wife voiced her concerns once Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, was invited to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham and her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, have never been asked to attend the royal holiday.

“Kate accused the queen of giving Meghan special treatment and sees this as a huge snub to her side of the family,” the insider explained. “She understands that most of Meghan’s family is estranged from her and that this was a kind gesture, but it still hasn’t stopped her from thinking that Prince Harry’s wife has got it easy!”
