After staying in the dark about it for many months, Jessica Chastain shared the first pic of her baby with husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo after they secretly welcomed their first child via surrogate last year. The Zero Dark Thirty star took to Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 6 with an adorable post of her little bundle of joy ahead of the Golden Globes.

“You’ve got good taste, kid,” the 41-year-old captioned the photo of her dressed in a white robe as her baby girl, Giuletta Passi Chastain, reached for the sizable Piaget red spinel and diamond ring. See the sweet photo below!

Right after Jessica posted the photo of her baby with the desired jewel, fans were quick to share their love for the actress. “Awww so cute! Congrats on your motherhood,” one user wrote. “So happy for you, queen,” said another.

Jessica confirmed the speculation that she had become a mom after rumors sparked last October. The Miss Sloane star was spotted pushing a baby stroller while heading to the set of her upcoming movie Eve in Boston. Just three days later, her hubby, Gian Luca, 35, contributed to the theory after he was seen carrying a car seat into a hotel alongside his wife and her assistant.

On the Golden Globes red carpet, just hours after she shared a glimpse of her life as a mama, the Molly’s Game actress dished to People her opinion on opening up too much on Instagram. “I don’t post anything too personal [on social media] because I’m very private about my personal life,” the red-headed beauty said.

However, the mom-of-one acknowledged the birth of her baby on Tuesday, Jan. 1 when she was reminiscing on her past year. “I know that I haven’t been as present on Instagram this past year,” the two-time Oscar nominee wrote in the caption of a post commemorating her best nine pictures of 2018. “Thank you all for respecting my privacy while I was blessed with the gift of becoming a mother,” she wrote. “I must say that 2018 has been the best year of my life. So much love and joy to all of you. Happy New Year.”
