Actress Jennie Garth is still mourning Luke Perry‘s death. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star says she finds it hard to look at the late actor’s son, Jack Perry, because he “looks so much” like his father.

“Isn’t he handsome?” Jennie, 47, told Access Hollywood about the 22-year-old on February 26. “I sometimes find myself staring at him when we’re together because he reminds me so much of Luke when we met and he was young.”

The A-lister admits she “refuses to let it sink in” that her friend is actually gone. “It doesn’t seem real,” Jennie said. “And just yesterday I saw a phone number pop up on my phone and I thought it said, ‘LP,’ and it didn’t. it said, ‘JP,’ and it was someone else. But for that second it was hard.”

In March 2019, Luke died after suffering a “massive stroke.” His rep confirmed the news in a statement.

“He was surrounded by his children, Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” the statement read. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

Two months after his passing, Jennie took to Instagram to share a photo of a street sign for “McKay Rd.” which reminded her of the Riverdale star. “Sometimes there are just signs,” she penned the caption.

Even though Jennie still needs some time to heal, Luke’s legacy still lives on in Jack and his 19-year-old daughter, Sophie.
