Luke Perry's Death: '90210' Cast and More Stars React

After suffering a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks, California home a few days ago on Wednesday, February 27, beloved actor Luke Perry has sadly passed away at age 52. Most known for his roles on Beverly Hills, 90210 and, more recently, on Riverdale, Luke has acted on many TV shows and appeared in lots of popular movies during his decades-long Hollywood career.

In a statement obtained by Closer Weekly, Luke’s rep confirmed the star passed away “surrounded by his children, Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder and other close family and friends.”

The message continued, “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

Following Luke’s death, many of his former costars and close Hollywood friends took to social media to share kind words, thoughts and memories of the late actor.

“Dearest Luke, I will forever bask in the loving memories we’ve shared over the last thirty years,” Luke’s 90210 costar Ian Ziering wrote on Twitter. “May your journey forward be enriched by the magnificent souls who have passed before you, just like you have done here, for those you leave behind.”

Patricia Arquette

“Luke Perry — irreplaceable beautiful and kind human being, incredible friend, generous actor and adoring father to Jack and Sophie and loving partner to Madison we are all heartbroken,” Patricia Arquette wrote on Twitter alongside a sweet photo of the late actor. “You are the love and you are the light.”
