Sorry, Russell Crowe, but it ooks like Hugh Jackman has a new best friend! In a new interview with the UK’s The Daily Star, The Greatest Showman actor gushed about his friendship with James Bond star Daniel Craig and couldn’t deny that when he spends time with Daniel, he ends up having the best time!

“Daniel and me are good mates,” Hugh said. “He’s the funniest guy I’ve ever met. He literally will make me cry with laughter!” Hugh has adored Daniel’s jokes so much that he thinks his friend could possibly have a very promising career in comedy. “I keep saying to him, ‘You’ve got to do a comedy, dude. In 2009, the pair co-starred in a play called A Steady Rain and, according to Hugh, that experience made him realize how much he loved to work with Daniel. “I got to know him really, really well and he’s an amazing guy, unbelievably talented, and funny,” Hugh gushed. “I love the guy!”

“I remember going to see him on [the James Bond] set. I was doing [Les Misérables] and he was next door at the same studio doing Skyfall, which I think is one of the best Bond movies,” Hugh added about his talented friend.

Though the pair has a great working relationship, Hugh admitted that he regrets turning down Daniel’s James Bond role because his other BFF Russell advised him not to. Apparently, Hugh thought that the workload for that franchise would be too much for him because he was already playing Wolverine in the X-Men movies.
