It looks like Baby Archie will be turning into a world traveler before he even learns to speak or walk! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning a trip to South Africa with their first royal child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, for the end of this year.

The Daily Mail recently reported that officials in South Africa have allegedly been told to expect a visit by the royal couple and their little bundle of joy. “People have been informed that the Duke and Duchess will be coming,” a source explained. “Early preparations have begun.”

Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, have always shared a deep love for Africa — which happens to be where the couple jetted off to for a romantic rendezvous in August 2017 after just two dates. Although rumors have been swirling around, a spokesman for the royal duo recently insisted that “nothing has been confirmed about upcoming tours.”

News of their first trip with Baby Archie — who the former Suits actress welcomed on May 6 — comes after much speculation that Meg and Harry were moving to South Africa upon the baby’s arrival. Fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex assumed that the duo would live abroad for two or three years after a new international role opened up for a member of the royal family.

“[They] could move to Africa but nothing is set in stone,” a royal insider exclusively told Closer Weekly in late April. “Harry and Meghan are in awe of beauty and tranquility Africa has to offer and have such fond memories of spending time there as a couple. Harry also spent a lot of his childhood there.”

Although many assumed that the move was in the cards, Harry’s special advisor on international affairs, David Manning, said that rather than moving all together, he has come up with a plan for the two to be more hands-on overseas. David added that although they’ll want to leave London for Africa, a decision won’t be made until 2020.

“They’ve only just settled into Frogmore Cottage and are focusing on the arrival of their first child. The idea of packing up again and moving to another continent is the last thing they want to think about right now,” the source explained to Closer. “They wouldn’t permanently move to Africa.”

It looks like we’ll just have to stay tuned to hear confirmation from Meg and Harry themselves!
