Gwyneth Paltrow And Brad Falchuk Show Off Matching Wedding Bands After Secret Ceremony
She’s officially married! Gwyneth Paltrow and her fiancé, Brad Falchuk, tied the knot in a secret, star-studded wedding ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 29, at her Hamptons, NY, home, multiple sources have confirmed. Gwyneth further proved the exciting news when she shared a pic of her and Brad showing off their matching wedding bands via Instagram.
The photo had no caption, but sweetly showed off Gwyneth and Brad holding hands in their simple gold bauble. Fans immediately took to the comments to congratulate the couple and gush over their jewelry. “This is so cute ?? congratulations!!” one fan wrote. Another added, “Congratulations to both! ✨✨✨.”
Fans first caught wind of Gwyneth’s surprise nuptials when the couple and their celebrity friends started to arrive in town on Friday, Sept. 28.
“[Gwyneth is] definitely in the Hamptons now. She’s driving alone in Amagansett as we speak, no bodyguards or anyone else in the car. She’s on Montauk Highway. Family and friends are starting to pour into town,” a source previously revealed to Closer Weekly.
“Gwyneth’s mom, Blythe Danner, is in town now. She’s in the Hamptons,” the insider also added. “Brad Falchuk and his family are now in town in the Hamptons. Brad just went and stopped for a quick coffee at Jack’s Coffee in Amagansett. He was with two friends and four young children. I think two of the kids were his son and daughter, Brody and Isabella. Not sure who the friends were, but they looked around Brad’s age. Brad came out with a coffee in hand and was headed back towards the Amagansett homes where all the action is happening for the wedding.”
There had also been a lot of set up going on for their special nuptials! “Since early this morning, there have been big trucks coming onto the grounds and lots of people going in and out. There were lighting trucks from Luminous Designs on the grounds. There was lighting, tents, chairs, FedEx deliveries, and flowers being brought in,” the source added last week. “There were about 15 people mulling around. There were also vans and security guards. Loads of boxes were also being carried in.”
The insider continued, “There’s a smaller guest house on the property at 25 Old Montauk Highway, and there are people now setting up a white tent that is about 20 X 20. The tent is right at the front of the property, immediately past the gate and in front of the guest house. It looks like it could definitely be where they’ll be receiving guests for the wedding.”
Celebrities including Jerry Seinfeld, Robert Downey Jr., Rob Lowe, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Steven Spielberg, and more attended the special event.
However, contrary to popular belief, Gwyn’s ex, Chris Martin, wasn’t there. According to a recent Star magazine report, while the 46-year-old actress was getting ready to tie the knot with Brad, 47, the groom-to-be threw a fit when Gwyn insisted Chris play a special role in their wedding ceremony.
“It all started when Gwyneth asked Chris to walk her down the aisle,” an insider revealed before adding that the Coldplay frontman “also offered to serenade the couple at the wedding, which she thought was sweet.”
“[Gwyneth] was shocked by Brad’s reaction. He knows how much Chris still means to her, and she thought Brad was cool with that,” the source shared. Perhaps that’s why he ended up attending the 2018 Global Citizen Festival instead.
Chris and Gwyneth share two kids, Apple, 14, and Moses, 12, and Brad has two kids, son Brody and daughter Isabella, from a previous marriage.
Last month, another insider told Life & Style that Gwyneth was “feeling nervous” about exchanging vows with Brad. “Gwyneth was crazy about Chris when they got married and never in a million years thought it would end. Even though she’s confident about her relationship with Brad, she can’t help feeling nervous about what the future holds.”
A few weeks before, the Iron Man actress publicly admitted she was “a little scared” to walk down the aisle again during a Goop podcast chat with friend Sarah Jessica Parker. “I’m about to get married again,” Gwyn said at the start of the podcast, adding that while she’s “a little scared” to tie the knot for the second time she’s also “very optimistic.”
“I think you should be [optimistic],” SJP replied. “You’re a grown-up woman and you’re making a choice for entirely different reasons. Perspective and life experience is everything. I think the value of being a sophisticated woman and choosing marriage is promising, don’t you?”
Gwyneth agreed with Sarah Jessica’s sentiment and added, “It’s such a crazy game of chance because who knows if you’re going to grow in parallel, if your paths are going to diverge, [or] what’s going to happen.”
Gwyneth and Brad dated for three years before confirming their engagement back in January in an official statement given to Good Morning America. “We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship,” the couple said at the time. Two weeks later, Gwyn debuted her massive sapphire engagement ring from Brad — it’s thought to be worth between $300,000 and $500,000! — at the Producers Guild Awards. We’re so happy for the newlyweds!
