Grieving Father Asks Reddit Users For Help Removing Tubes From Daughter’s Picture
One Ohio man made a unique request on the social networking site Reddit this past weekend, asking users for help photoshopping a picture of his baby girl.
“My daughter passed away after a long battle in the children’s hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life, we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?” grieving father Nathan Steffel wrote.
Baby Sophia died on July 10 at 6 weeks old from a liver tumor.
The request struck a nerve, and the outpouring of images from complete strangers has “overwhelmed” Nathan and his wife.
“This is really amazing. Everyone you have made my day,” he responded on Reddit. “All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers.”
