When one door closes another one opens. Well, that's what Erinn Hayes can say at least. The 41-year-old actress — who was recently fired from Kevin Can Wait after just one season — is already on a new Amazon show called The Dangerous Book for Boys, which will premiere on Friday, March 30, Deadline reported.
Leah Remini — who seemingly took Erinn's spot on the sitcom —previously shared the news on Twitter following the Season 2 premiere of Kevin Can Wait in late September after a fan called her "classless" for stealing Erinn's job. They wrote, "I am all about your Scientology crusade. Classless that you hurt another actress when you don't need the money. Sh—y girl-code," to which Leah replied, "1. I didn"t make that decision 2. It's a sitcom [and] it isn't that deep 3. She is on another show 4. Real things are going on in the world."
The Dangerous Book for Boys is based on the book of the same name, and will focus on middle-class family who is dealing with the loss of their patriarch, Patrick, who was a very inspirational man to all he met. Following his passing, his three sons, Wyatt, Dash, and Liam, do their best to cope with their father's untimely death through a book he created for them.
Erinn will play Beth McKenna, the widow of Patrick and mother to the three boys in mourning. The series will also star Gabriel Bateman, Drew Powell, and Kyan Zielinski, to name a few.
Back in June, Erinn announced her untimely departure from Kevin Can Wait. "True, I've been let go from the show. Very sad, I had a great experience [on] Season 1. Thank you for all the support from our wonderful fans," she tweeted. We're glad the Erinn has continued her career with this exciting new role in The Dangerous Book for Boys — and now we really can't wait to watch in a few weeks!
