Good thing she didn’t listen! In a new interview, Emily Blunt revealed people warned her against working with her famous husband, John Krasinski, on their award-winning film A Quiet Place because they’d end up “divorced” if they did.

“My favorite thing about shooting A Quiet Place for sure was working with John,” Emily, 35, told reporters in the 2019 SAG Awards press room after she won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role honor for the film on Sunday, January 27.  “We had never [worked together] before and it is kind of the great unknown. You go into this process not knowing what it’s going to be like. A lot of people were like ‘You’re going to be divorced by the end of it,’ but we were so much closer. I think the discovery of how we collaborated and could create something together was just so special.”

After her big win, Emily wasn’t the only emotional one as she made her way to the stage to retrieve her accolade. While speaking, her handsome hubby, John, 39, held back tears as he sweetly watched his actress wife accept her A Quiet Place award.

“I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, who, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly,” the British star gushed. “You are a stunning filmmaker. I’m so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you. Thank you for giving me the part.” Aww!

Emily was nominated for not only one SAG Award, but two, last night. Although she didn’t take home the honor for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Mary Poppins Returns, the mom-of-two was awestruck that she was even recognized with one award. “Oh my goodness me. Guys — that truly has completely blown my slicked hair back,” she said during her speech. “Thank you so, so, so much. I am so moved and completely lost for words and unprepared.”

A Quiet Place not only won Emily a SAG Award but the film, directed by John, won the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie in 2018. Despite what others apparently say, we think John and Emily should costar in films together more often!
