It’s Dan and Alex back together again! Glenn Close and Michael Douglas had an epic Fatal Attraction reunion at the 2019 SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 27. At the star-studded event, Glenn, 71, and Michael, 74 — who portrayed Alex Forrest and Dan Gallagher, respectively, in 1987’s Fatal Attraction — appeared on-stage together to present the Oustanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series award.

“Thirty-two years since Fatal Attraction and 25 since these awards began. We experienced many changes in our craft and in our industry and how we relate to each other and our world,” Michael told the crowd while standing next to his former costar.

At the 2019 SAG Awards, both Michael and Glenn were nominated for their roles in the TV series The Kominsky Method and the movie The Wife, respectively. Though Michael sadly lost the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series honor to Tony Shalhoub for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Glenn took home the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture award.

“Oh my gosh, I am so proud to be in this union. I think of all the fellow actors sitting in the room who haven’t had the chances we’ve had and I salute you with this,” Glenn said in her acceptance speech. “One of the most powerful things we have as human beings are two eyes looking into two eyes, and film is the art form that allows us to explore that.”

Since she costarred with Michael in Fatal Attraction, Glenn and the actor have remained close friends over the years. Catherine Zeta-Jones‘ husband recently spoke out about what it was like to work with Glenn on their classic movie at the AARP Awards luncheon back in 2016. “Glenn and I did a little movie in [the 1980s] which stood a lot of people on their heads, called Fatal Attraction. It was a brave film, it’s part of the memory of those films that keeps us all together and our friendships [thriving],” he said.

We loved seeing Michael and Glenn back together at the 2019 SAG Awards!
