Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Dress Up As Queen Elizabeth And Prince Philip For Halloween — See The Pic!
The best Halloween costume of the year goes to — Chrissy Teigen and John Legend! The Hollywood power couple dressed up as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and looked absolutely amazing as the British monarch and her husband.
John, 39, took to Instagram to share a photo of him and Chrissy, 32, in the roles with a bunch of England flags and king and queen emojis for the caption. The singer sported a red uniform with a gray wig to represent Philip, while Chrissy wore a long blue coat, hat, and of course, a purse, to represent the Queen. They could have passed as the real royal couple, if you ask us!
The two joked about their costumes on Instagram stories. “Please look at this hair,” Chrissy said before turning the camera to her husband. “Is it even accurate?” John asked back.
The funniest part? The duo truly acted like they’re in their 90s — and decided to skip Kendall Jenner’s birthday bash to stay home instead. “We were going to go somewhere, but we’re so tired, so we’re at home,” Chrissy confessed while in bed wearing her costume. “We worked all day,” John added. “We just did it for the ‘Gram.”
While we will never know if the Queen got a glimpse of Chrissy and John’s costumes, we have a feeling she would like them — and that’s because, at age 92, she still is very funny! “One of the things that surprised me most is she’s got a fantastic sense of humor,” Nick Kent, executive producer of the new documentary, Queen of the World, told Closer Weekly in a previous interview.
On top of that, she’s working to modernize the monarchy, so there’s a chance she somehow took to Instagram to check out their snaps. “The Queen is very media-savvy in quite surprising ways, and it goes back to her coronation, which was televised,” Kent explained. “It was her idea to do so, as it was her way of saying hers was a new age.”
That said, she’s close with her grandkids! “The Queen has unlikely friendships with people decades younger,” Kent noted. “There’s a real bond between William, Kate, Harry, Meghan, and the Queen. They’re all very close.” Perhaps Chrissy and John can get into that mix?
