Country music star Chris Stapleton revealed on Friday, Nov. 2 that his wife, Morgane, is pregnant with their fifth child in the most epic announcement at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The exciting news comes just seven months after the “Parachute” singer’s wife welcomed twins, making them a family-of-six.
“Some of you may know that we have four children,” the musician said while onstage in front of thousands of fans. “We just had twins, about seven months ago. Now there’s four for us, but we’re gonna make it five!”

Thank you for all the love! We’re so grateful to finally be home with our sweet family. We would like to say a special thank you to all the incredible nurses & doctors at Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Nashville. At more than a month early, we had a week long stay in the nicu & the incredible people there kept our boys healthy & happy. Words cannot express our gratitude for you all & what you did for our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! ♥️♥️
Chris, 40, and Morgane are already the loving parents to three sons and one daughter — those whose names have not been revealed to the public for privacy reasons. The country duo met in 2003 and married in 2007, and we guess you can say the rest is history.
This is not the first time Chris announced that his wife was pregnant during a concert. Last year, the “Broken Halos” singer broadcasted to a crowd of fans at Starplex Pavillion in Dallas that he and his wife were expecting twins. “She’s the mother of my two kids, and she’s about to be the mother of two more,” Chris said while onstage.
While speaking with reporters ahead of his CMA Fest performance in June, Chris revealed that he and Morgane were continually trying to adjust to the extra workload that the twins brought along, according to Taste of Country. “Well, you know, it’s like a baby times two, so we sleep less than having one baby,” Chris said at the time. “But we’re doing great, they’re doing great and you know, it’s an amazing and wonderful thing.”
Chris also admitted that having more hands on deck from their other two children was a blessing. “They’re super helpful and kind and sweet to them, and I’m so proud of them,” Chris added. “They’re doing far better than I would have expected for the loss of attention that they have received in the last few months. So they’re remarkable individuals.”
It seems like the country power couple is certainly ready for their fifth baby after all the practice they’ve had with their four previous children. In the meantime, Chris is nominated for five categories at the upcoming CMA Awards on Nov. 14, and we certainly hope that the “Tennessee Whiskey” singer gives us more details on his expected little bundle of joy at the event.
