So exciting! Fans of Fixer Upper have been missing Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines ever since they left the hit HGTV show last September. Since they said goodbye to their popular series, the duo has far from slowed down. They welcomed baby No. 5 in June, have been working with Target to create their own line, and Joanna even wrote a design book.

That said, understandably, their following has been begging them for a TV return, and finally, the couple has shared some exciting news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — they are returning to TV!

“We signed a non-disclosure and it said quote-unquote ‘You can tell your mother, but that’s it,’ so mom, I just wanted to make a quick announcement — we are coming back to television,” Chip, 43, said into the camera. “You’re gonna get to see the kids grow up, you’ll get to see us — maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world, but we’re excited to be back. Yes!”

Chip and Joanna, 40, will have their own network under the Discovery umbrella, so the parents-of-five will be able to create their own schedule (they previously left HGTV to have more time to spend with their family). “I think we’re really going to carve it out in a way that really makes sense to us and our family,” Chip shared. “It’s going to be filmed a lot in Waco, TX so we don’t have to travel a whole lot. So, all things being equal, we could not be more excited.”

Chip also shared how difficult it was to balance all their projects, family, and each other when they were working on HGTV. “TV’s a tough business, man,” he shared with host Jimmy Fallon.  “We came into this whole thing sort of shock and awe. We had never had any inspiration to be on television, we didn’t know anything about the business, so when you step into this universe, it takes you a little bit to get your feet under you — to say the least. I’d say, after five years, we really realized we want to take a step back and focus on our marriage, focus on our family, and just kind of catch our breath.” We’re glad they got a chance to catch their breath — and we’re ecstatic to have to have them back!
