Just days after rumors swirled that Céline Dion will be singing at her late husband’s funeral, the star’s rep has spoken out to set the record straight.

A spokesperson for the 47-year-old singer told TMZ Céline will not be performing at the Friday, Jan. 22 service honoring René Angélil because she is still in the “throes of grief.”

Though her rep said singing at the funeral “never crossed her mind,” it is possible one or two of her hits songs — likely including “My Heart Will Go On” — will play in the background during the emotional service.

TMZ also revealed René’s funeral will take place at Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica — the same church where Céline and René married 21 years ago — and will be televised on three unspecified networks.
