He’s all grown up! Instead of being sad that her son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, is leaving for college, Angelina Jolie revealed that she’s actually very happy for him. In fact, the actress said she’s very glad Maddox is pursuing a higher education.

“I’m nothing but proud,” Angelina, 43, shared to People. “I look forward to all he will do.” Although Angelina didn’t say where the 17-year-old will be attending school, he might go to a university in South Korea, as he his mom were previously spotted visiting universities there last November.

When Maddox starts college, he’ll probably start taking his love life more seriously, too. An insider previously told Radar Online in February, that Angelina’s son has already started dating.

“Maddox had a girlfriend there for a little while last year. It was like puppy love,” the source revealed. “Now he’s stepping up his game and likes to take girls to the movies or for drives through the Hollywood Hills. He drives them around himself in his pick-up truck that Angie bought him as soon as he was able to drive.”

The soon-to-be Marvel star isn’t bothered that Maddox has been seeing girls either, taking a chill mom approach. According to the source, she just wants him to have respect for the girls he dates.

“Angie was so thrilled when Maddox told her he was taking girls out. He’s her eldest and she was so excited to watch him become a man,” the insider added. “She’s sat him down and made sure to explain how to treat women with respect.”

With parents like Angelina and Brad Pitt, Maddox will surely grow into an incredible young adult. “I don’t want them to be perfectly behaved little people that just say what’s absolutely appropriate because I say so,” Angelina said about raising her 6 kids to BBC Radio 4’s Today. “They have to find themselves.”
