DUBLIN, IRELAND - January 6: (L-R) Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie pose for photos at the arrivals hall in the Savoy cinema for the Irish Premiere of Alexander The Great, Dublin, Ireland January 6 2005.

They are two of the most well known actors in Hollywood, but Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell have still made time to stay in touch — even after 15 years have passed since they costarred in Alexander.

On March 11, the 43-year-old actress attended the Hollywood premiere of the live-animated version of Dumbo with four of her six kids — Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. While her children may have been one of the reasons she was there to see the Disney movie, the Phone Booth actor, 42, may have been the other reason.

“They’ve always had a deep connection. And since Angie’s breakup from Brad [Pitt], Colin has been back in touch,” a source tells Life & Style. “They really like and respect each other,” the insider continued, adding, “They have talked about getting together, probably in London, and soon.”

Even though they’ve gone through many ups and downs since they last shared a set — the Girl, Interrupted actress with her split and custody battle with Brad, 55, and the Lobster star with his past addictions — the pair know that a lot has improved too. “Angie and Colin have both grown up a lot,” the source said. “They were both considered the bad boy and bad girl of Hollywood for a time — to the fact that they’re both single parents.”

Recently, an insider explained to Grazia magazine that “Colin is a changed man — more into clean-living and charity than anything else since getting sober 12 years ago, and he’s a doting dad,” referring to his sons James, 15, and Henry, 9, from previous relationships. They added, “Angelina is almost a different person now from her former self, much more calm and grounded.”

It’s pretty clear why the two have stayed in contact after all these years, especially since they have dealt with a lot of the same things. We’re just glad that they each have someone to lean on as they move forward in their careers and their lives.
