She's back in the spotlight! Two years after announcing her country music retirement, Shania Twain has returned to Hollywood with a new album and tour — and she's even taking on fun gigs like guest judging Dancing With the Stars! After the "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" singer appeared on the judges' panel on the Monday, Oct. 23 DWTS episode, lots of fans posed questions about what Shania has been up to since her career hiatus — scroll down to see!
It seems she has. According to Life & Style, "Shania has combined Botox, fillers, and laser treatments to help tighten the face and add volume." Plastic surgeons told the entertainment news outlet that Shania has likely gotten Botox to smooth wrinkles and lines in her forehead, fillers to plump her cheeks, and laser treatments to keep her skin looking smooth and radiant. Whatever work she's had done, Shania looks amazing!

Sadly, Shania was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. "I never thought I would sing again," the singer revealed during a sit-down with 60 Minutes Australia, adding she has also battled dysphonia (a hoarse voice) as a result of the Lyme disease. "I was very scared for a little while that I wouldn’t sing again, ever. I went through that moment, but I found a way. I found a way to do it," she similarly told People. Today, Shania revealed her voice must go through "very, very difficult" warmups and physical therapy before she can perform.
Shania was born Eilleen Regina Edwards — yes, Shania is a stage name! — in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. After her parents' divorce, Shania moved with her mother and two sisters to Timmins, Ontario. There, Shania's mother married a man named Jerry Twain and the girls subsequently took his last name. When the aspiring country star later moved to Nashville, music industry executives didn't love the name Eilleen so they suggested she change her first name to Shania (which means "I'm on my way" in a Native American dialect) and the rest is history!
Shania was born on Aug. 28, 1965, making her 52 years old today.
Shania tied the knot with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange in December 1993, but by May 2008, a spokesperson for the singer revealed Shania and Mutt were splitting after 15 years of marriage. Shania's marriage sadly crumbled because her husband had an affair with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. In December 2010, Shania announced she was engaged to Marie-Anne's ex-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud — the two bonded over their respective spouses falling in love — and they later exchanged vows in Puerto Rico in January 2011. Crazy, right?!

Yes, Shania is a mother-of-one. The singer welcomed her only child, son Eja (pronounced like "Asia") Lange, with her ex-husband, Mutt, in August 2001. Eja is 16 years old today.
