William praised "the resilience and adaptability of Christchurch" while celebrating the regeneration efforts of the community three years later.
As the family's time in New Zealand comes to an end, the prince shared the couple had "many highlights from the past 10 days," though he joked, "Catherine beating me at sailing does not count amongst them."
William, Kate and baby George head to Australia next for two more weeks of touring.
