It was confirmed today (July 10) that Rosie O'Donnell will rejoin The View as co-host seven years after her controversial exit from the show after one season.
But before the comedienne can even step foot in the studio again, drama surrounding her return has begun!
Rosie's former on-screen nemesis, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, claimed the news (which was just rumor at the time) had ruined her vacation.
"Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there, coming back with a bunch of control ready to regain a seat at the View table," lamented Elisabeth on Fox & Friends earlier this week.
Though not every one of the 37-year-old's former co-workers agreed with her harsh opinion. Joy Behar, who was once seated alongside both women, called Elisabeth's statement "a hate-filled remark" during an appearance on CNN.
"I thought that was really kind of below the belt — to say that she spits in the face of the military," Joy said. "I'd like Elisabeth to explain herself, really. What does she mean by that? Isn't it kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who basically is a good person?"
Although Rosie and Elisabeth's infamous on-air screaming match represents one of the worst on-set feuds, we've got even more examples of former co-stars who refused to play nice!
Nicolette Sheridan & Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives)
Nicolette was not a fan of fellow housewife Teri, whom she once referred to as "the meanest woman in the world." But unfortunately, showrunners preferred the brunette to the blonde, firing Nicolette after five seasons.
Will Smith & Janet Hubert (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)
Janet has referred to the actor as a "snot-nosed punk" and "a--hole" after he reportedly got her fired from the hit '90s series. Daphne Reid replaced her as Aunt Vivian.
Mariah Carey & Nicki Minaj (American Idol)
News of this feud hit tabloids before the season even began airing! The two were constantly bickering on camera, resulting in both ladies leaving after only one season. Mariah has even compared working with Nicki to working with Satan!
Shannen Doherty & the Cast of Beverly Hills, 90210
The brunette beauty pretty much clashed with everyone on set, but her biggest feud was with cast member Jennie Garth, with whom she reportedly had a spirited fistfight. Shannen ended up leaving the series after only four seasons.
Isaiah Washington and T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy)
After Isaiah called his co-star a gay slur behind his back, tension on set greatly increased. The 50-year-old actor was eventually written off the show following his nasty remark.
Bruce Willis & Cybill Shepherd (Moonlighting)
Moonlighting producer Jay Daniel confirmed his two leads didn't get along on set, blaming Bruce's rising fame as the reason. "Over the years, he went from being the crew's best friend and just being grateful for the work and all of that to realizing that he was going to be a movie star and wanting to move on," Jay has said.
