He may never have had any children of his own, but Drew Carey knows a thing or two about being a dad. The Whose Line is it Anyway? host is the proud stepfather to his ex-fiancée’s son, Connor. Scroll below to learn more about his experience with parenthood.

Does Drew Carey Have Any Children?

Drew experienced fatherhood at the time he was engaged to Nicole Jaracz, who is the mom of her biological teenage son from a previous relationship. Although Drew is not Connor’s father by blood, The Price Is Right host has always referred to the youngster as his beloved “son.”

Connor walked into the iconic comedian’s life when Drew and Nicole began dating in the mid-2000s. Sadly, the pair ended their relationship in January 2012 after being engaged since 2007. Following the news of their split, Drew insisted their breakup would have no effect on his relationship with Connor.

“He and Nicole still have a great deal of love and affection for one another,” the star’s rep dished to Us Weekly at the time. “He will still be very involved with their son’s life.”

Where Does Drew Carey’s Relationship With Connor Stand Today?

Although coparenting can be difficult, Drew and Nicole made it look easy. Over four years after they initially called it quits, the Dirty Jokes and Beer author took to Instagram to give his ex-fiancée a sweet shout-out on Mother’s Day.

“Lifelong thanks and love and gratitude to Nicole for bringing this guy into my life,” he sweetly gushed in May 2016. “Happy Mother’s Day to you especially.”

There’s no doubt Connor is a blessing to the film producer, but Drew once credited the teen with saving his life. In November 2009, the TV personality was at his heaviest weight of over 250 pounds. Because he was developing various weight-related health conditions, including type-2 diabetes, Drew felt hopeless. It was Connor who gave him the incentive to get back in shape and reclaim his life.

“I couldn’t keep up with him,” the Drew Carey Show alum candidly revealed to Parade in September 2010, explaining that he couldn’t keep up with his kiddo because running around would leave him breathless and sweating after just a few minutes. “I’d be like, ‘Connor, I can’t,’ and he’d say, ‘C’mon, Dad!’ That was a terrible feeling. I thought, I’m never going to see him graduate high school.” Thanks to Connor, Drew dropped over 100 pounds.

Drew has only talked about his son on a number of occasions, but he has shared a few cute pics of them on social media. In 2015, the sports executive gushed over “father and son” time while backstage at The Late Late Show. “Interviewing Ethan Hawke about boyhood tonight,” he wrote alongside a pic of the duo.

The following year, Drew posted a cute selfie while cuddling in bed with Connor during a vacation in Kenya. “Good Morning,” he captioned the pic, adding the hashtag, “Me and my boy” at the end of his post.

We love this father-son duo!
