Vanna White Gives Update on Her 2 Grown Kids: ‘They’re on Their Path’
She may be known for her work on Wheel of Fortune, but Vanna White has also been all about her grown kids — and she recently opened up about them.
The TV personality — who shares kids Niko and Gigi with ex-husband George Santo Pietro — spoke about what her not-so-little ones have been up to. “My son is 25 and my daughter’s 22. She’s graduating college this year and my son is an organic farmer,” the 62-year-old exclusively told Closer Weekly. “He loves growing vegetables and fruits and that kind of thing. So they’re kind of on their path.” Vanna also revealed that her children don’t exactly want to go down the same career route she did.
“I am of course supportive of whatever they want to do and my son is — he just loves farming and all that stuff. He’s my country boy,” Vanna explained. “And my daughter is a city girl so she’s very much into photography and artsy stuff and writing, so she might do something in photography or magazines. She’s not quite sure yet … So got a little bit of both!”
Aside from being a fantastic mom, Vanna — who has been named the Godmother of Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Panorama — has been killing it on the iconic game show lately, as she has had to step in for longtime host Pat Sajak while he recovers from surgery. “I wasn’t able to rehearse a lot before I [took over] because it happened suddenly. So I didn’t have any experience under my belt, you know. I was just kind of thrown into it,” the former actress told Closer. “It was a lot to comprehend to carry a show, and I’m a very shy person anyway and don’t really talk a lot. So to have to carry the show was kind of scary.”
“The feedback has been great,” she added. “And the fans have been very supportive so that makes me feel good. And I’m also happy to say that Pat Sajak is back to work now!”
