Thomas Markle Admits He’s Surprised By Meghan And Kate Middleton’s Alleged Feud In New Interview

Amid reports that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are feuding, there’s one person in particular who’s very surprised — and that’s Thomas Markle.

Meghan’s father hasn’t spoken to his daughter in months, but he was shocked to learn of the rift between Meg and her new sister-in-law. “I don’t recognize this person,” he shared in a new  interview with The Mail On Sunday. “The Meghan I know was always sweet, kind, generous. She was always demanding but never rude.”

During the sit-down, he also revealed that Meghan used to send him sweet notes before their falling out. “I loved getting cards from Meghan,” Thomas, 74, shared. “She wrote me hundreds of little cards and notes through the years. Sometimes they were for special occasions, other times just little notes she would leave around the house. I’ve still got a Post-It Note on my fridge which says, ‘I love you Daddy.’ I see it every day. I got a card every Valentine’s Day.”

While it’s been reported that Meghan and Kate haven’t been getting along, one recent report suggested it’s because “they simply haven’t gotten to know each other.”

“They’ve hung out a bit, but Meghan and Harry’s relationship has been such a whirlwind, they haven’t spent much quality time with each other,” a source told Heat. “They’re from very different worlds and don’t have much in common, other than marrying into the same family.”

“Kate and Harry used to text every day, but now it’s difficult because he has a baby on the way and Kate doesn’t want to be seen as interfering. She misses having Harry around, though,” the insider added. “Kate has always wanted a close female friend to attend royal events with and she really hopes that she and Meghan click soon.” Perhaps if Meg writes Kate one of those sweet notes it’ll help!
