Say What? Kate Middleton Also Had Royal Staffers Quit When She First Became Duchess!

Don’t feel so bad Meghan Markle, apparently you are not the only one who has had royal staffers bail on you left and right. It seems that back when Kate Middleton was getting started with all her royal duties after she married Prince William she also had some staffers say so long to her.

There has been a lot of chaos surrounding the Duchess of Sussex and staffers quitting over her alleged bad behavior, including making the staff work around the clock, leading to two of Meghan’s royal aides to quit. But let’s not all be ready to march to Meghan’s front door with some pitchforks because the Duchess of Cambridge also had the same issue earlier in her time in the royal family. It is being revealed in the doc film William & Kate: The Journey that good old Kate’s housekeeper and head gardener both quit at the same time because Kate had broken with royal tradition/protocol. Oh, and this housekeeper and gardener were both married. So a couple that quits together, stays together. Unless they quit on each other and that’s a different story.

“It was very controversial because they [the housekeeper and head gardener] had actually worked for the Queen previously and then came over to work for Prince William and Kate,” reporter Ashley Pearson said in the film. “There was a lot of speculation at the time that Carole Middleton had been interfering in the housekeeper’s duties, that Kate Middleton was doing a lot for herself, and that didn’t sit too well with staff.”

Talk about savage, am I right or am I right? Kate was actually put in a “difficult position because she didn’t grow up with household servants,” Ashley added. In other words, it seems like folks were upset because Kate likes to cook and do things for William. Would be ideal if people got upset anytime we did chores or work of any kind.

So with this bit of news, it seems that staff shakeups may just be part of the territory, right? Perhaps it’s tradition to have a revolving door in the royal family. Or maybe Queen Elizabeth just offers a terrible health plan for employers. Who knows? The point here is that Kate has also had folks quit on her, so it is probably best for Kate and Meghan to bond over this or about how they probably think it’s odd that the Queen makes them watch TV on Christmas day.
