Royal Fan Captures Rare Video Of Kate Middleton Driving Her Range Rover Through Buckingham Palace Gates
When Kate Middleton drives, she drives in style. The Duchess of Cambridge may be bustling with royal appearances and taking care of her three young kiddos, but she was spotted driving her Range Rover through the Buckingham Palace gates last week.
While driving can already be stressful for some, we can’t imagine what it’s like driving with hoards of screaming fans around you. One fan captured the iconic moment of Kate driving herself into Buckingham Palace as royal admirers gazed in amazement.

Though Kate usually has a driver for her royal engagements, the 36-year-old decided to take the wheel herself. In fact, it turns out Kate apparently still drives around London when she needs to after she was spotted roaming around last year. The Duchess driving to the palace is still pretty unusual, though.
Perhaps she got the idea from her royal grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, who reportedly still drives to this day! While her most recent spotting was in May 2017, PopSugar reported that Her Majesty will still drive her royal whip when needed.
We imagine her driving skills are sufficient, even at the age of 92, considering she began driving at the age of 19. The Queen was taught how to operate a vehicle at a training center in 1945 while working in the wartime Auxiliary Territorial Service.
Elizabeth driving is one of the most ordinary things about her spectacular life. However, it turns out it’s not as ordinary as you may think. She apparently doesn’t even have a driver’s license. You’re probably thinking, “What the heck?” But the Queen isn’t breaking any laws as she is the only person in Britain who can drive without that documentation, People reported. Wow!
It gets better. Elizabeth doesn’t even need plates on her state car(s) either! We’re just adding these to the list of privileges that the Queen has that we envy. But seriously, could you imagine Elizabeth spending her time at the DMV?
