Kate Middleton And Princess Charlotte Surprise Locals By Popping Into London Pub To Use Restroom

While Meghan Markle was surprising folks with an appearance at a London college, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte also made a surprise appearance. The only difference is that this appearance involved making a pit stop at a London pub when mother nature came calling.

According to Daily Mail,  the mom and daughter allegedly decided to stop at The Phoenix in Stockwell in order to use the restroom. No word yet if Kate decided to have a pint to destress. Of course the pub regulars and the staff were thrown back when they realized that royalty was in their presence. “It just goes to show that the royals are like any other family,” one pub regular joked while high-fiving someone probably. “When your kid needs to go to the loo, they got to go!”

But not to worry, the royal pair was not alone as a plain-clothed detective from the Royal Protection Squad entered the pub before Kate and Charlotte in order to check it all out. This according to another regular. “…The Duchess of Cambridge walked in holding Princess Charlotte’s hand,” the regular said. “The little girl went to the loo and then they left. The police woman sat by the bar while Princess Charlotte and Princess Kate were in the toilet,” the regular added. “The diplomatic protection officer warned customers not to take any pictures so no one got their phones out…They had parked their Range Rover outside. There were other police officers inside. But it was only the female police officer who came inside. The pub staff have been told not to tell anyone about it. It was about a quarter to two last Thursday…”

And since news travels fast, a spokeswoman for Kate and her husband Prince William had no comment on this very important bathroom matter. “This is not something we will be commenting on,” the spokeswoman said. “But tell us about the toilet!” we assume a reporter asked from a distance.
