Kate Middleton And Princess Charlotte Get Into The Christmas Spirit By Reportedly Attending ‘The Nutcracker’ Ballet
Mother-daughter date goals! Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte are getting into the holiday spirit ahead of Christmas by reportedly attending The Nutcracker ballet. The Duchess of Cambridge and her daughter apparently headed out to the Royal Opera House last week, where they observed a pre-rehearsal performance.
The mother-daughter duo spent the day together while Kate’s husband, Prince William, and their sons, Prince George and Prince Louis, supposedly stayed behind. Sorry boys!
We imagine the three-year-old princess couldn’t have been more excited to attend the ballet with her mama since William, 36, revealed earlier this year that Charlotte knows how to bust out the dance moves. “My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” he admitted at the Commonwealth Day reception on March 12. Plus, what’s a better way to celebrate this festive season than by going to see The Nutcracker?
The countdown to Dec. 25 is already on, and Kate, 36, dished that her royal kiddos are already rockin’ around the Christmas tree. “They’re getting excited for Christmas time,” she told a fan, Harry_Meghan_Updates shared on Instagram. “They’ve started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up.”
Charlotte, George, 5, and Louis, seven months old, aren’t the only ones getting into the Christmas spirit, though. On Dec. 11, Kate and William hosted a Christmas party for military families at Kensington Palace. The prince admitted that their kids were at school during the party, but joked that it was a good thing “because I can’t do this and look after the children!”
However, the Duke and Duchess attempted to make it up to them. “We took the children down to where the party was but everything was gone,” Kate admitted to those who were at another one of their holiday gatherings in Cyprus on Dec. 12. “They were so disappointed!” Aww!
Though the kiddos missed out on the military Christmas party, they most definitely will not be deprived of festive and merry decorations. Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, revealed in her first interview ever with The Telegraph that she fills her house with as many trees as possible. She even gives each kiddo their own tree “so that they can decorate it themselves.” How sweet!
