The royal Christmas may not be so merry this year as the alleged tension between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle continues to grow. The two Duchesses are reported to be spending the holiday with Queen Elizabeth at her Sandringham country estate, but Her Majesty is apparently getting skittish as she fears that Kate and Meg will ruin the festive celebration. "The queen is petrified that Christmas will be ruined by the girls unless they sort out their differences," a source told Life & Style. Elizabeth is apparently so desperate for a reconciliation, she has even tried to intervene herself. The British monarch has allegedly asked her grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry to have a confidential meeting with their wives. "The queen is at her wit’s end over Kate and Meghan falling out," the insider revealed. "She’s 92 years old and has seen enough drama to last her a lifetime, and can’t believe how petty they’re being." The tension between the two royal beauties began when Kate got ticked off about the Sandringham guest list. The Middleton's have never been part of the evening festivities, as Kate's family only joins the queen for church service in the morning. Word on the street is that Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, has been invited to the dinner, per Elizabeth's request — and "Kate is livid and sees it as a snub," the source stated. "Kate has been married to William for seven years and not once has her family spent the holidays enjoying the life of luxury at Sandringham." In fact, Kate is so over the queen's "preferential treatment," that she is considering not even spending the holidays at Sandringham. "Kate has told William that she wants to do Christmas with her family this year," the insider confessed. "Mainly to escape from all the drama with Meghan and enjoy the holidays with her own flesh and blood." Imagine telling Elizabeth you're not attending her Christmas celebration? It sounds horrifying! Hopefully, it doesn't come to that as the queen apparently already hates the idea. Yikes, we hope the two ladies can work it out in time for Christmas!
