Kate Middleton Wows In Blue Alexander McQueen Gown And Princess Diana’s Tiara For State Banquet — See The Pics!
Seriously, could Kate Middleton get any more stunning?! The 36-year-old royal just stepped out in a beautiful blue Alexander McQueen dress and Princess Diana‘s famous Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara for a Buckingham Palace State Banquet on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 23 and the new photos of the Duchess of Cambridge are beyond gorgeous.
For the very special event, Kate wowed in a bespoke mermaid gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen that featured a fitted, ruched bodice. She perfectly accessorized the glam look with Diana’s diamond and pearl tiara and Queen Alexandra’s wedding necklace that was created in 1860 and has been previously worn by The Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth. The Duchess finished off her ensemble by wearing the Royal Family Order brooch on the left side of her dress.
Kate is attending tonight’s State Banquet with her husband, Prince William, also 36, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and the Queen. The event was held to welcome King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands to England.
The mom-of-three — she and William just welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, in April of this year! — last wore the gorgeous Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara back in December 2017 at the annual winter party held at Buckingham Palace. She also wore the headpiece in July 2017 for a similar State Banquet at Buckingham Palace for Spanish royals King Felipe and Queen Letizia and in both December 2016 and December 2015 for Buckingham Palace Diplomatic Receptions.
In the past, Kate has also donned the Cartier Halo Scroll Tiara at her 2011 royal wedding to William and the Lotus Flower Tiara at a 2013 Diplomatic Reception and a 2015 State Banquet. We just love seeing Kate in a tiara, don’t you?!
