It’s been a memorable year for Princess Eugenie! Not only did she get engaged to the man of her dreams but she also tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank in a lavish royal wedding — two special events that surely made the royal’s 2018 her favorite year yet!

The red-headed princess took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 22 to share a throwback photo of herself and Jack to commemorate the one-year anniversary of their royal engagement. “#Tbt to exactly this day last year — Jack and I announced our engagement. What a year it’s been since then and how exciting for 2019,” the 28-year-old wrote in the caption. Take a look at her sweet post below!

In the photo, Eugenie and Jack, 33, can be seen smiling down at Eugenie’s pale pink padparadscha sapphire and diamond engagement ring. Since the now-married couple looked so happy in the sweet pic, Eugenie’s followers couldn’t help but send their love to the duo in the post’s comments section. “You are a beautiful couple with deep affection and love. That’s so nice to look at and I’m always happy when I see a picture of you both,” one fan wrote with another similarly commenting, “Your wedding was so beautiful — perfection. And as for your engagement ring … the best ring ever!”

This isn’t the first time we’ve caught Eugenie reminiscing about her favorite moments with Jack on Instagram. In late November, Sarah Ferguson‘s youngest daughter shared an unseen photo from her wedding day. “[Throwback] to THE greatest day of my life,” Eugenie captioned the adorable photo of the joyous couple smiling arm-in-arm.

She also shared another throwback to the day Jack proposed on the first day of 2019 as she reflected on the past year. “As 2018 draws to a close I wanted to share some of my favorite moments,” Eugenie wrote in the caption. The photo that she shared showed a stunning sunset in Nicaragua from the evening Jack got down on one knee and asked Eugenie to marry him.

After the pair tied the knot on October 12, 2018, Eugenie’s mom, Sarah, 59, gushed her daughter’s wedding day was one of the best days of her life, too! “My proudest moment was watching Eugenie standing tall, very proud to show her scoliosis scar in her low-backed dress,” Fergie gushed to the Daily Mail of Eugenie’s Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos-designed wedding gown. “I’d gone to all the fittings and sat there beaming with delight, and because there was no veil it was a very strong statement.”

Eugenie made sure to wear an open-back gown that showed off the scar she got when she had surgery for scoliosis at age 12. While she could have easily covered it up and hid it from the world, Eugenie decided to embrace her scar on her wedding day. Her reasoning? The surgery changed her life completely, and for that, she honors it.
