Prince George Cheers on Dad Prince William’s Favorite Soccer Team — See the Adorable Photos!

Quality time! On Saturday, October 5, Prince William and Duchess Kate took their two oldest kids — Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 4 — to see a soccer game at the Carrow Road. However, it wasn’t just any soccer game they attended — it was the duke’s favorite team, Aston Villa, who was playing against Norwich City.

As soon as the game got started, William was fidgeting around while he cheered on Aston Villa. A couple of times, he was even spotted leaning over to George, who looked very happy being there for some father-son bonding. In a video that was shared to Kensington Palace‘s official Instagram account, George could be seen jumping up and down in his seat. If anything, the young royal seemed to be enjoying himself during the sporty outing.

Looks like Kate has kept her promise when she said she wanted her kids to have a really happy childhood. “Kate and William put a lot of emphasis on doing normal things together,” a friend of the royal family previously revealed to Closer Weekly in an exclusive interview. “They just want their kids to be kids.”

Going to soccer games together is only one way that Kate has been helping her kids feel more “normal.” She and William have also been spending a lot time with their little ones during the weekend.

“At the weekend, they’ll all sit down and watch cartoons together,” the friend explained. “There are also treat days where George, Charlotte and [Prince] Louis are allowed candy or a trip to McDonald’s.”

However, the best part about Kate and William’s parenting style is that they let their three kids feel like children — and not just as members of the British royal family. Whenever they make a decision for Charlotte, George and Louis, they always think about how William’s late mother, Princess Diana would view it through her eyes.

“She doesn’t want her children growing up feeling too entitled,” the insider said, and added that “if Princess Diana were alive today, she’d be proud of the way William and Kate are raising their family.”

Charlotte, George and Louis are so lucky to have the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as their parents!
