Family is important! Nicole Kidman is not only a successful actress, but a very busy one as well. But even while her schedule is full, she always makes time to love on her family.

“I go home to hug my kids. Literally, I’ll go in and snuggle them,” the 51-year-old told InStyle when ask what is the first thing she does after an event. “They’ll always be waiting up. I’ll hug my husband too. The greatest thing our family priest told us very early on in our marriage was, ‘Always kiss hello and kiss goodbye.’ It just keeps you connected.”

The Oscar winner shares two kidsSunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8 — with her husband, Keith Urban, who she has been married to since 2006. The couple also finds a way to put time aside to spend with their daughters, even with their hectic jobs.

“We’re just a very close family. We put the time in, and there’s no taking that for granted,” the Big Little Lies star explained. “I’m constantly learning from them. They teach me about me. Parenting is about learning who they are, not making them what you want them to be, and letting them find their way and then supporting them.”

“It’s rigorous — rigorous truth, rigorous consciousness,” she added. “You’re constantly looking at yourself so you’re not placing these expectations on a child. But, I mean, I’m no parenting guru. I’m just walking the path of everyone else, but it is extraordinarily joyful to be able to do it.” Nicole and the country singer, 51, are great parents, but they also understand how important they are to one another.

“I just love being able to be here because he is so supportive of me,” Nicole said of her husband while at the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7. “He has given me so much and so much confidence, and the girls and I love traveling. We all travel together. This is our life and this is what we do, and it’s exciting for us. Really exciting.”

We’re glad to see such a tight-knit family!
