Things are getting really awkward at Today.
According to People, Megyn Kelly — who left Fox News this month to come to the rival station NBC News — is reportedly in talks to take over the third hour of the show, which is currently hosted by Al Roker and Tamron Hall. If not that, then she may star in the fourth hour in place of Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
“The format is still in progress, but she will most likely be hosting the hour on her own,” an insider told the news outlet, adding that Megyn’s hour will likely begin this fall.

The source additionally revealed that if Megyn owns the 10 a.m. slot, Kathie Lee and Hoda will shift to the 9 a.m. slot. Phew! As for Al and Tamron, the duo will allegedly will continue their 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. duties.
“There is a rumor on set that Megyn would eventually get the lead anchor role on Today, pushing Savannah out,” a source revealed to Page Six at the time.

If there’s one person that’s on board with Megyn’s potential new roles, it’s her fellow co-host Julie Chen! In a previous interview with Closer Weekly, The Talk star shared her feelings on the news personality.
“I’m a big fan of her work. She’s a hot commodity right now, and I think it’s brilliant on her part!” Julie, 47, said of Megyn’s decision to move.
Responding to rumors that Megyn may take over the third hour of Today, Julie tells Closer the former Fox anchor will have her work cut out for her if she goes head-to-head with Kelly Ripa, 46, on Live!.
“If they put her [on at that time] Megyn’s got a big job to do,” says Julie. “At 9 a.m. I think people want to watch the kind of show that Kelly does. She’s funny, smart [and relatable] as a mom and wife.”
