It seems Megyn Kelly is preparing for a big TV comeback! The estranged journalist was previously fired from Today following her racist comments on-air, but during a recent run-in with paparazzi, the blonde beauty hinted she’d be coming back to the big screen by replying “you’ll be seeing me” when asked about a possible return.
The E! News reporter also pointed out Megyn’s hairdo change in the video, which was filmed in NYC. “I got it chopped!” the former Megyn Kelly Today host said of her former 2016 look while smiling. “You know, it’s like coming on the new year. New beginnings.”
He then asked her if she donated her locks. “I didn’t have enough to donate, no,” she said. “Please! I couldn’t spare it. I had about one inch to go.” She even joked that it’s “a little colder” with the wind in her face. “I’m feeling it right now. It’s like a new beginning,” she said. “[A] fresh start.”
Megyn could use a fresh start following her abrupt Today firing in late October. After her racist comments about blackface, she took to her show to publicly apologize. “I want to begin with two words: I’m sorry,” she said at the time. “You may have heard that yesterday we had a conversation about political correctness and Halloween costumes… I defended the idea (of blackface), saying that as long it was respectful and part of a Halloween costume, that it seemed OK. Well, I was wrong, and I am sorry.”
Megyn added, “I have never been a PC kind of person,” but she learned from the backlash over her statements that “it is not OK for (blackface) to be part of any costume, Halloween or otherwise. This past year has been so painful for many people of color,” she continued. “The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor, and I want to be part of that. Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too.”
We’re not sure what’s next for Megyn at this time, but if she’s being truthful, we may be seeing on on the small screen sooner rather than later!
