After a rough couple weeks, it looks like there may be light at the end of Megyn Kelly‘s tumultuous career tunnel. Since being cut from NBC after questioning why blackface Halloween costumes are “racist” during an on-air panel discussion, an insider has revealed to Radar Online that Megyn is allegedly in talks to join The View because ABC executives “are very hot on the idea.”

“They want her as a full-time host,” the insider said. “They think she would be able to keep up with [co-host] Whoopi Goldberg and keep her in check. They think it would be blockbuster to have her.” Although a representative for ABC later denied the possibility of Megyn joining The View, the source insisted that Megyn’s team is on early discussions with the network. The question now is, would Megyn even be interested in the new gig? According to the source, Megyn, 47, is eager to join the team of women when the time comes.

If asked to be a The View host, Megyn would be sitting alongside Whoopi, Joy Behar, Meghan McMcain, Sunny Hostin, and the newest addition to the show, Abby Huntsman. Abby is a former co-host of Fox & Friends who was asked to join The View for Season 22.

“I couldn’t be more be excited to return to my professional roots at ABC News,” Abby said in an official press release at the time. “I look forward to adding my own point of view to the most interesting and successful talk show on television today. Joining the women at The View really is a dream come true!” Abby replaced Sara Haines, who sadly announced her departure after being asked to join Michael Strahan on ABC’s newest show, GMA Day.

“It has been an honor, a privilege, and an absolute dream to work here at this show,” Sara said while saying her goodbyes during her final episode on Aug. 2. “For anyone who has ever played a sport knows that the best team members are the ones who lift you up and make you better. You guys did that for me.”

Having Megyn join The View actually doesn’t sound like a half-bad idea considering she would be able to give the women a run for their money! It looks like we’re just going to have to wait and see if ABC ends up picking Megyn up.
