There is seriously nothing better than being able to relate to a royal. Especially when that royal is the beautiful Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly shared a list of New Year’s resolutions in 2016 to her now-obsolete lifestyle blog, The Tig, and the bad habits the mom-to-be confessed in hopes to kick have now resurfaced.

“Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (a.k.a. actually every) single year,” Meghan, 37, allegedly wrote, according to The Mirror. While most of these are just typical resolutions people hope to overcome year after year when January rolls around, it’s comforting to know that Meghan feels our pain.

“The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks. And when it comes to the biting of the nails – well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day… It’s unladylike,” Meghan supposedly admitted of her bad habits. “But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.”

To be honest, we can’t really picture Meghan swearing in front of Queen Elizabeth since becoming British royalty after tying the knot with Prince Harry this past May. That said, we’re going to assume she at least (maybe) checked one resolution off her list.

The former Suits actress also apparently noted at the time that “the marathon hasn’t happened,” and we’re not sure if it ever will! With her crazy schedule, would Meghan really be able to fit in training for a 26.2-mile run?

We’re going to go with probably not — mainly because the Duchess is pregnant with her first child with hubby Harry, 34. The couple announced they were expecting right before beginning their Australia tour on Oct. 15.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” a message shared by Kensington Palace read. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

Luckily for Meghan, her little bundle of joy isn’t expected to arrive until spring 2019 ,which will (hopefully) give her enough time to kick her bad habits to the curb ahead of the new year before she has her hands even more full.
