Meghan Markle Is Making Sure to Spend Quality Time With Her Mom Before Her Royal Wedding (REPORT)
She may be on the verge of starting her own family with Prince Harry, but Meghan Markle is making sure to spend as much time with her mom, Doria Ragland, as she can ahead of her upcoming royal wedding. Since the former actress officially moved to England to be with her high-profile fiancé, she hasn’t been able to visit home often, but she reportedly just made a trip to LA to visit her mother and close friends.
“Meghan is keen to include her mom as much as possible in the wedding plans, so spending time with her was the perfect chance to bring her up to speed on all the wedding details,” an insider revealed to E! News. “Meghan wants her mom to experience all of this with her. It’s such an exciting time for her and Harry.”
According to the news source, Meghan won’t be able to visit the US again before her big day on Saturday, May 19 — which is set to take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the UK — so her private getaway home was probably bittersweet for the royal-to-be. But Doria is allegedly already planning an “extended trip” to London to visit her 36-year-old daughter and to help out with the wedding planning. “Being in London will also be [Doria’s] first chance to see the amazing wedding gown up close,” the source continued. “Everything is coming together perfectly.”
Back in early March, reports began circulating that Doria, along with Meghan’s father Tom Markle Sr., were going to travel to London to attend their daughter’s Baptism into the Church of England. However, the special occassion allegedly already happened in a super secret ceremony in the Royal Chapel at London’s St. James’s Palace on Tuesday, March 6. There were very few attendees — just Harry, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall — and it has since been reported that neither of her parents were in attendance.
It has yet to be confirmed whether both of Meghan’s parents will attend her royal wedding, but sources recently revealed to Life & Style that she does want her father to be present — and for him to play a major role in the ceremony. “Everyone has problems and faults, but Meghan doesn’t love him any less,” an insider close to the bride-to-be said. “She’s told Harry that she wants her dad to walk her down the aisle. Harry is totally supportive and will go along with whatever Meghan wants, even if the palace might not like it.” Let us know who you think will walk Meghan down the aisle in the poll below!
