A beautiful tribute. Luke Perry‘s kids, Sophie and Jack, will always have their dad on their mind — and they recently took some time to share some lovely words on what would have been the late actor’s 53rd birthday.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum’s youngest child, 19, took to Instagram on Friday, October 11, to remember her father on his special day. “Happy birthday, fashion icon. I can hear you doing your best Tim Gunn impersonation now,” the teen wrote alongside two photos of herself and her dad embracing. “Love you the most.”

Luke’s only son Jack also wrote up a sweet message for his dad on his own Instagram. “Happy birthday, old man. I’ll see you somewhere,” the 22-year-old wrote. Luke shared both of his children with his ex-wife, Rachel Sharp.

The Riverdale costar passed away on March 4, after suffering a massive stroke. Plenty of reactions and tributes poured in from loved ones everywhere, including a heartbreaking message from his fiancée at the time, Wendy Madison. “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support,” she said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight at the time. “The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”

“The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,” Wendy continued. “I also want to thank his children, family and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”

Sophie also spoke out just a day after Luke’s tragic death. “I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye,” she wrote on Instagram. “So bear with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.”

Luke was just 52 at the time of his passing.
